HELPING FROM THE WEST

It is quite amazing how Malawi continues to change as Western influence makes its mark.  There are so many trade-offs in the exchange of culture.  Generally most would agree that good health, safety and political stability are things to work towards in any country, but there are so many factors in the establishment of those things.

OUR CHURCH

We have been here 2 Sundays now and have attended Kaninga Presbyterian Church of the CCAP (Church of Central Africa Presbyterian).  We attended there for about half the year back in 2004.  African Bible College is an interdenominational college but with a strong relationship with this denomination in Malawi.

EXCHANGING CULTURES

Since arriving in Malawi on August 10th we have had a constant flow of visitors, both missionary and Malawian.  It has been both a "get reacquainted" time with them as well as a get reacquainted with the culture time.  Lilongwe is a very international community being the capital of Malawi and center of every imaginable ministry, NGO, and governmental agency on earth.
