- COMING MUSIC EVENTS
-
In the next month and a half we will be very busy at the task of seeking to glorify God in a variety of musical settings. I appreciate your prayer for all of us involved and those who will attend the performances and programs.

- EASTER THOUGHTS
-
HAPPY EASTER - This past week a theology professor friend (Sam McDonald), his daughter, Janelle, Shea and I went to a village ministry started by one of our graduates and being run by 3 of our graduates. Sam was asked to teach for a day on Biblical Leadership to 40 elders in churches surrounding the area. Those 20 "prayer houses" they represented are led by one of our students (a 50 year old pastor).
For dinner, a goat was led to the slaughter. The men asked Shea if he wanted to watch. Sam, Shea and I were interested in how it is done. Our only experience with food on the hoof is hunting deer and such with a gun.

- Pit Latrines & Elder Conferences
-
Last week Sam McDonald (theology Professor at ABC) asked me and the kids to come with him to a village a bit north of Lilongwe to an Elders' Conference on Biblical Leadership. Joy to the World ministries was hosting the event at a school run by our Presbyterian denomination in a small village in the bush.
Shea, Janelle, a friend of Shea's, Amber (Sam's daughter) and an ABC student accompanied us. We drove for about 40 minutes on the highway and then 2 3/4 hours on a dirt road (sometimes foot path) for the rest of the way. We got lost a couple times even though Sam had driven it at least once before...but it changes with the rainy season a lot.

- That we would not be too busy to meet our kids' needs!
- Wisdom as we teach our classes.
- That we challenge the culture where it needs challenged and we be challenged where we need challenged in our own world-view.
- Financial Support.
- That God would provide what we need when we need it.
- Campus safety from robberies.
- Arts in the Alps ministry in Telfes, Austria in June.
- For the right musicians to attend
- For wisdom as we develop classes for the schools
- For opportunities to develop relationships and share the gospel
- Our whole family's spiritual growth.
